Comments are simple text. You can't use HTML tags in it for both security reasons and uniformity. You can use some
simple tags to control the format. Here they are:
- Paragraphs are separated by one empty line.
- Lines starting with a * character will be formatted as bullet items.
- Lines starting with a # character will be formatted as numbered items.
- Lines starting with a ? character are hyperlinks (URL). The whole line
will be used.
- Lines starting with a > will start a <blockquote> section. The section
will end at the first empty line. You normally use this when you
copy a small section of the news.
- Lines starting with a ! character will use a bold font.
