KKeeyy bbiinnddiinnggss When running in text mode, you need to know few key bindings to operate Linuxconf. +o Tab: Use the Tab key to access the buttons of the dialogs. +o Ctrl-X: Use Ctrl-X (the Ctrl key pressed at the same time as the letter X) to access the help list available with a field (the help list is identified by a down arrow at the end of the line). 22.. SSoommee ccoommmmoonn kkeeyy bbiinnddiinnggss ((tteexxtt mmooddee oonnllyy)) Here are other key bindings used in Linuxconf, but also useful elsewhere, notably when using the shell. Note that the normal "PC modern" keypad is supported (Home, End, PgDp, PgDn. Del, BkSp). +o Ctrl-A : Go to the beginning of the line. +o Ctrl-B : Page up. +o Ctrl-D : Delete the current character by sliding the end of the line over it. +o Ctrl-E : Go to the end of the line. +o Ctrl-F : Page down. +o Ctrl-K : Delete text up to the end of the line. 33.. Make sure all services are still running as before. Be aware that Linuxconf monitors and controls the boot process. It may very well uncover flaws in your configuration that predate Linuxconf installation. 44..
