Linuxconf defines the "required" configuration by looking at various configuration files. From the content or the revision date of each file, Linuxconf may take the following actions:
Linuxconf can do this work in simulation mode. In this mode
it simply takes note of what has to be done. In activation mode,
actions are performed and a log entry is written in /var/adm/netconf.log.
