Exporting to administration group members 11.. IInnttrroodduuccttiioonn Once you have configured an administration tree, and published the information to administration groups, you want to share this information to the various group members. Linuxconf will connect to each member, one by one, and copy the various files. Once the file are in place, it will distribute the files, updating the target machine configuration files. Once all related configuration files are updated on the member machine, you will be prompt to activate any configuration changes. this is equivalent to running "linuxconf --update" on the target machine. 22.. EExxppoorrtt ddiiaalloogg For each machine, a dialog is presented. You must enter the root password on the target machine and the transport command to use. It defaults to the transport command specified for the adminitration group. Any change you make there (transport command) is preserved from one session to the other. The password is not written anywhere. At some point, we will store the server using some encryption, to avoid retyping the password over and over. 22..11..
