Linuxconf provides five predefined runlevels which are generally suitable for workstations. Each runlevel corresponds to a combination of the following features:
Some Linux systems need more control. For example, some servers may never run the X Window System, but may support various configurations through /etc/inittab. In those cases, the five definitions provided by Linuxconf can be reprogrammed. Each of the above three topics may be controlled separately for each of the five runlevels. You are also allowed to give each a different name.
