DHCP Server Configuration
Introduction
The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a standard method of automatically configuring TCP/IP-based computers on boot-up. It is usually used to provide an IP address and default gateway, but can also be used to provide IP addresses of DNS (name services), NTP (time servers) and other standard internet services. The Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) is a subset of DHCP used to boot diskless workstations off a server.
