This screen may be useful to disable a service temporarily. For example,
you configured the named daemon (DNS) and, for some reason, you don't
want to start it anymore. Instead of erasing the /etc/named.boot
file
or renaming it (its presence does trigger Linuxconf to start
/usr/sbin/named
), you just go here and disable named.
This is easy and it provides a single place to activate/disable most system services.
