mconsole

Multiple serial consoles management

mconsole is a multi-user solution to allow access to serial console. Serial consoles are a very efficient and inexpensive way to access and configure routers, switch and server (unix/linux). They replace the expensive and not so practical KVM solutions. Most servers today may be configured using a serial link (you enable this in the BIOS). Even the BIOS itself is configurable with the serial link.

mconsole maintains a list of serial connections. It supports TCP based serial controllers as well. Opened connections are monitored and the output is logged. Several users/admins may access the same console at once (all see the same copy).
